“We are called not to re-create the past, but to build the future.”

Dear Family,

As we move into calendar year 2018, the Year of New Beginnings, let us all re-member why we are here.

Each of us has a vital part to play in the future of our nation and our planet. Do not fail to “do something” because you feel you do not have the education, the finances, or support. Remember the saying:

“Start where you are
Use what you have
Do what you can”

A single drop of rain joins others and becomes a mighty ocean. Start locally and watch your creativity and energy light up the world! YOU are important. YOU can make a difference.

So many clichés come to mind, but the thing about clichés is they DO contain a message.

Remember the story of 2 children walking along the beach where thousands of sand dollars had washed up after a storm? The first child began picking them up, one by one, throwing them out into deeper water. The second child looked at the thousands lying on the beach and said, “Do you really think that will make a difference? To which the first child replied, “It made a difference to that one.”

You can start by doing something as simple as picking up trash around your neighborhood or asking an elderly neighbor if they need help with shopping or yardwork.

You could take that talent you have (music? art? story telling? organizing?) and share it with others.

Talk to likeminded people and come up with ways to join your strengths and talents for the common good. Do not measure “value” by dollars. Giving to others from your heart is priceless.

I look forward to hearing all the wonderful ways you have discovered to use your abilities in this “Year of New Beginnings” for us all.

Love and blessings,

Priestess Candace Ross
