Saturday evening, February 2, we celebrated Imbolc here at the Temple. Back East, both Phil and Chuck (having not not seen their shadows as they emerged from their burrows) have predicted that winter is over. It is welcome news after a colder than normal December and January. The extended weather forecast (I checked!) seemed to agree, showing the temperature will only be dipping to freezing another time or two here in Cactus Springs, Nevada.
As I gently begin raking back the blanket of cotton wood leaves that have kept plant roots cozy for the past few months, the twitter of happy birds brings a smile to my face and a song to my heart. Cool, crisp air flows in and out of my body, and my eyes behold the wonder of the turning of the wheel. Life is good, very very good.
