Dear Sekhmet Family,
It has now been over a week since thieves removed the statue of Sekhmet from the Temple. Reluctantly, we have looked into having a replacement statue made, and found a wonderful artist in southern California, who can create for us a beautiful (and very heavy) image of Sekhmet.
Many of you have offered to help with the cost of replacement, and while I was hoping that was not going to be necessary, I’m afraid it is. We will also be putting in a high quality security system to keep this sort of thing from happening again.
We are needing to raise at least $3,500. All donations made will go into the temple’s general fund so that any funds raised in excess of what is needed for a replacement statue and security system may be used for other current or future needs.

I will keep the community posted regularly as to how we are doing with the fund raising, and if all goes as intended, we anticipate that we’ll have an installation/dedication ritual with the new statue sometime in July or August.
